🎯 What MyEVCred Is

MyEVCred is a free calculator and information resource covering federal and state EV tax credits, rebates, and incentives across all 50 US states — including VIN-specific eligibility checks, a used-EV claim history registry, and cost calculators for total ownership, charging, loan interest, and home charger credits.

We built this because EV incentive rules changed dramatically in 2025-2026 — the federal purchase credit expired, a new loan interest deduction appeared, and state programs kept shifting — and most information online hadn't caught up. Our goal is to be the place that has.

📋 Where Our Data Comes From

Every figure on this site is sourced from primary, official channels — not secondhand blog posts or outdated aggregators:

Federal programs IRS.gov, the Internal Revenue Code, and official OBBBA (One Big Beautiful Bill Act) legislative text
State programs State energy offices, DMVs, and official program administrator websites (e.g., California CVRP, Colorado VXC)
VIN & vehicle data NHTSA's official vPIC API for manufacturing and vehicle specification data
Utility rebates Individual utility provider program pages, cross-checked where available

🔄 How Often We Update

State and federal EV incentive programs change often — sometimes with no advance notice. Every page on this site shows a "Last verified" date, so you always know how current the information is when you're reading it.

Real example — Colorado, August 2026

We caught that Colorado's IMVC credit had dropped from $3,500 to $750 (effective Jan 2026) while its VXC rebate had risen from $6,000 to $9,000 (effective Nov 2025) — a change our page hadn't reflected yet. We corrected it the same day we found it, updated the page's verification date, and fixed the same number in our calculator engine so both stayed consistent.

🚫 What We're Not

Not a law firm, CPA, or tax advisor

Nothing on this site is personalized tax, legal, or financial advice. Every calculator gives an estimate based on published rules — always confirm your specific situation with a licensed tax professional before making a purchase decision.

Not affiliated with the IRS, any state government, or any automaker

We're an independent, free resource. We don't represent, and aren't endorsed by, any government agency or vehicle manufacturer.

💰 How We're Funded

MyEVCred currently runs with no display ads and no pay-for-placement — no dealer, manufacturer, or program has paid to be ranked higher or recommended over another option on this site. All calculators are free to use.

🐛 Found an Error?

If you spot a number that's out of date or wrong, we want to know — incentive programs change fast, and we'd rather fix it than have you rely on stale data. Tell us what you found and where.
